Funny?

Mothers...

Inexperience is permitted, No special skills required, Must love kids and pets, Eager attitude desired.

A loving heart's essential, Soft, gentleness, a plus, A kindly, warm demeanor, Combined with tenderness.

Add agility of body, And dexterity of hands, Both can be instinctive, But be ready on demand.

Have good ears, with which to hear, Sharp eyes, with which to see, Arms strong enough for hugging, And a spirit, fancy-free.

Can speak to God in heaven, Have folded hands to pray.

Have ability to guide and teach, And ability to play, Can cook, and bake, and clean, and sew, Can nurture little souls, Know how to hold on tightly And how to hold, when letting go.

Mothers some day return to God, Yet, never do depart, A mother's love, eternal love, Forever in one's heart.

Problems

Today I will be handling all of your problems. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not WORRY needlessly. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, by My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed in the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. If you find yourself stuck in traffic; don't despair, there are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new grey hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she/he had hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what life is all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful, there are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities. Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them! HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK

Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

"Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today."? So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"Hmmmmmmmm, " she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today."?
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said, "Today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
"YEAH!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!
Have a Good Day! Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

The price of gas.

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 .... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ....$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ......... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ........ $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .... $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER..

Evian water 9 oz $1.49.........$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source.

(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?So they have you hooked for the ink.Someone calculated the cost of the ink at................(you won't believe it....but it is true........)$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

I feel a little lucky...Do you?

You are a South African bush pilot working for Blue Sky Aviation. You fly in some critical medical supplies, enjoy a quick lunch at the hospital. It's a stifling 100 degrees in the shade and you're eager to get back up to the cool, high blue yonder. On the way back to your plane, you discover that the only bit of shade within 1 mile has become very popular . . You start calculating the distance to the plane door and wonder . . .
"Do I feel lucky today?"

Thank You.

I want to thank all of you who have taken the time andtrouble to send me your chain letter E-mails over the past12 months. Thank you for making me feel safe, secure,blessed, and wealthy.I must send my special thanks to whoever sent me the oneabout rat poop in the glue on envelopes, because I now haveto get a wet towel for every envelope that needs sealing.Also, I scrub the top of every can I open for the samereason. Because of your concern, I no longer drink CocaCola because it can remove toilet stains. I no longer drinkPepsi or Dr. Pepper since the people who make these productsare atheists who refuse to put "Under God" on their cans. Ino longer use Saran wrap in the microwave, because it causescancer. I no longer check the coin return on pay phones,because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.And, I no longer use cancer causing deodorants, even thoughI smell like a water buffalo, on a hot day. I no longer goto shopping malls, because someone will drug me with aperfume sample and rob me. I no longer receive packagesfrom, nor send packages by UPS or Fed Ex since they areactually Al Qaeda in disguise. I no longer answer the phonebecause someone will ask me to dial a number for which Iwill get an astronomical phone bill with calls to Jamaica,Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan. I no longer eat KFC, because their chickens are actuallyhorrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers (Even thoughI have never eaten the eyes or the feathers in the firstplace). I no longer buy expensive cookies from NeimanMarcus, since I now have their recipe. I no longer worryabout my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out forme and St. Theresa's novena has granted my every wish.Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers myprayers if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends andmake a wish within five minutes. I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sickgirl who is about to die in the hospital (for the1,387,258th time). I no longer have any money at all, butthat will change once I receive the $15,000 that Microsoftand AOL are sending me for participating in their specialE-mail program. Yes, I want to thank you for looking out for me. Iappreciate it so much that I will now return the favor!If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people inthe next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land onyour head at 2:00 PM (CST) tomorrow afternoon, and the fleasfrom twelve camels will infest your back causing you to growa large hairy hump. I know this will occur because itactually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor'sex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician. ~author unknown~

Eye Sight

Sit down and if you are going to read this fast don't even bother to do so! What if you couldn't see? What if you walked around in darkness? What if you could have been able to see all your lafe and then one day Your Eye sight slowing went away and you couldnt' see any more? I have a friend that that happened to. But it seems to be slowly coming back. Please Pray for God's anointing hand to anoint my friend's eyes with eye salve so that my friend can again see and praise and glorify God. Thank you so much for joining me in this prayer battle with God against the enemy of souls. Also pray that my friend finds comfort in Jesus' arms. Thank you.

Gift from Ron Goss

"The greatest want of the world is the want of men-men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right nome, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall." ~E.G.White~

I got this quote on a card from Ron Goss. He had an awesome sermon and I am going to have some one get it for me on a CD!

The Hill

Long past midnight hours before dawn I jumped up from my bed and pulled my longjohns on. Peeking out the window, the snow has started to fall. Slipping on my overalls, I raced quickly down the hall. Rushing to the closet, grasping my old wrap, I throw it over my shoulder, give the button a snap. Working all ten fingers, through the holes of much worn mitts, I stick my feet into the boots that thankfully still fit. Faster than is possible, I head straight for the door. Behind me I am dragging a sled from years before. The wind is loud and howling, snow is blowing all around. Already what has fallen has covered the ground. Tramping through the deepness, only my footprint to see, I head straight for the meadow; the hill is waiting for me. A few more steps, I reach my goal, as always in the past I'll be the first to sled this hill, and I'll be the very last. Breathing in the cool night air, I witness the year's first snow. Perhaps this is my favorite spot, in all sights I know. Holding tight in a world of silence, I shove off with my feet. Wind is picking up my hair, snow hits against my teeth. Traveling faster and faster, I struggle not to tip. Stretching out my snow-damp legs, I lean from hip to hip. What a big delight, this morn has given thee. As all years before have done, when it's just this hill and me. Now if I do my best to hurry, I can take another run. The sun will soon be rising, the day will have begun. But before that can happen, I must be back in bed. For whatever would the children think. ..if they knew Grandma used their sled!

WOW!!

Well yes fifty miles wasn't near as bad as I thought it to be which was very good because that just ment I had practiced and so I wasn't that sore! lol RIght now I am just sitting here, with math complete thinking of the many blessings God has instore for the ones He has in preparation for heaven. What about the beauties of the blissful land were care never more to flow will never appear. Were our earthly problems will never be seen or thought of again. What are you doing to be able to look Jesus in the eye when He comes in the clouds and say "I did ALL that you asked me to do". To see Him smile and say "thou good and fiathful servant enter now into the joy of YOUR Lord". I don't know about you but that is what I want very much!

A fifth grade teacher in a Christian school asked her class to look at TV commercials and see if they could use them in some way to communicate ideas about God. Here are some of the results: scroll down.

Rain

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streetsof town, taking those extra precautions necessary when theroads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my daughter, Aspen , spoke up from her relaxed position in her seat. "Dad, I'mthinking of something."

This announcement usually meant she had been pondering somefact for a while, and was now ready to expound allthat her six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain!" she began, "is like sin, and the windshieldwipers are like God wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond."That's really good, Aspen."

Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little girl takethis revelation? So I asked... "Do you notice how the rainkeeps on coming? What does that tell you?"

Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer:"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.
In order to see the Rainbow, you must first endure some Rain.

Sayings by Confucious

Be naturally courteous.

Expect much of yourself and little from others.

To make a mistake and not correct it; this is a real mistake.

Don't think in an evil way.

To study and not think is a waste. To think and not study is dangerous.

The superior man seeks discipline; the inferior man seeks favors.

When you see a good person, think of becoming like them.

Work without complaining.

If you are strict with yourself, your mistakes will be few.

If you are virtuous you will not be lonely. You will always have friends.

When you make a mistake, don't hesitate to correct it.

If you are honest, people will rely on you.

Speak enough to make the point and then leave it at that.

Only the most wise and the most foolish do not change.

Those whose strength is not enough give up half way

Martha Stewart's Tips for Rednecks!

GENERAL: 1. Never take a beer to a job interview.
2. Always identify people in your yard before shooting at them.
3. It's considered tacky to take a cooler to church.
4. If you have to vacuum the bed, it is time to change the sheets.
5. Even if you're certain that you are included in the will, it is still rude to drive the U-Haul to the funeral home.
DINING OUT: 1. When decanting wine from the box, make sure that you tilt the paper cup and pour slowly so as not to "bruise" the fruit of the vine.
2. If drinking directly from the bottle, always hold it with your hands.
ENTERTAINING IN YOUR HOME: 1. A centerpiece for the table should never be anything prepared by a taxidermist.
2. Do not allow the dog to eat at the table, no matter how good his manners are.
PERSONAL HYGIENE: 1. While ears need to be cleaned regularly, this is a job that should be done in private using one's OWN truck keys.
2. Even if you live alone, deodorant is not a waste of good money.
3. Use of proper toiletries can only delay bathing for a few days.
4. Dirt and grease under the fingernails is a social no-no, as they tend to detract from a woman's jewelry and alter the taste of finger foods.
DATING (Outside the Family): 1. Always offer to bait your date's hook, especially on the first date.
2. Be assertive. Let her know you're interested: "I've been wanting to go out with you since I read that stuff on the bathroom wall two years ago."
3. Establish with her parents what time she is expected back. Some will say 10:00 PM. Others might say "Monday," If the latter is the answer, it is the man's responsibility to get her to school on time.
THEATER ETIQUETTE: 1. Crying babies should be taken to the lobby and picked up immediately after the movie has ended.
2. Refrain from talking to characters on the screen. Tests have proven they can't hear you.
WEDDINGS: 1. Livestock, usually, is a poor choice for a wedding gift.
2. Kissing the bride for more than 5 seconds may get you shot.
3. For the groom, at least, rent a tux. A leisure suit with a cummerbund and a clean bowling shirt can create a tacky appearance.
4. Though uncomfortable, say "yes" to socks and shoes for this special occasion.
DRIVING ETIQUETTE: 1. Dim your headlights for approaching vehicles, even if the gun is loaded and the deer is in sight.
2. When approaching a four-way stop, the vehicle with the largest tires does not always have the right of way.
3. Never tow another car using panty hose and duct tape.
4. When sending your wife down the road with a gas can, it is impolite to ask her to bring back beer too.
5. Do not lay rubber while traveling in a funeral procession.

I thought this one was pretty funny!

Did I care enough?

Did I care enough is an answer that each of us must in it's fullest relize ask God to help us comprehend and to full fill on this journey throught this world to Heaven's Golden shore. Do you want to go there? God wants you there as well as me and anyone else that is alive. But if we are going there me need to know Jesus and follow in His foot steps of sharing and caring! I have a few prayer request that I hold very dear to my heart because they are prayer request for friends who I hold dear to my heart because I want to see them in Heaven. The land of peaceful bliss, a never ending adventure.

1. I would like prayer for a friend named Taylor who is really struggling in her life. I ask for you to join with me in lifting her for God's tender mercies to reach her in a more abundant way that GOD'S will be done.

2. I ask prayer for another friend named Hillary. She is also struggling, and God will win! But it will make it easier if we would kneel and pray for God's wirking to be done.

3. Please pray for Korah, She has been struggling with depression and needs a way out with God. Please pray that she feels God's tender hand and relizes how much He did for just her.

4. Please pray for me as I study God's word and prepare myself for Heaven's Golden shore. I also ask you pray for me as I call people and have prayer with them.

Thank you for caring and giving a helpful hand in praying. Many think that there gifts are not nothing to big for any good but our dear Lord and Saviour has given all the talent of prayer. I challenge you to use it now. God is waiting to hear your voice lifted up for those in need and to see that you care. I am not trying to send you on a guilt trip, I am only giving you the oportunity to share and care as did Jesus when he walked this earth and continues to do. God Bless.

Flower or Flour

While attending a marriage seminar on communication, Wally and his wife Carolyn, listened to the instructor declare, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."
He addressed the men, "Can you describe your wife's favorite flower"?
Wally leaned over, touched Carolyn's arm gently and whispered, "Pillsbury All-Purpose, isn't it"?

Sabbath(5/12/07)

Well I didn't post the last few days because I was traveling! We had an awesome day tuesday and wensday. Thursday we drove andd friday and got home in the afternoon just before or shortly after 4pm. Today is pathfinder sabbath, the pastor is doing the sermon, and we have ivestiger (sp?). so yea, have a great day! I was just doing my morning study and came accross a very uplifting quote.

Grave responsibilities rest upon the youth. God expects much from the young men who live in this generation of increased light and knowledge. He expects them to impart this light and knowledge. He desires to use them in dispelling the error and superstition that cloud the minds of many. They are to discipline themselves by gathering up every jot and tittle of knowledge and experience. God holds them responsible for the opportunities and privileges given them. The work before them is waiting for their earnest effort, that it may be carried forward from point to point, as the time demands. {MYP 41.1} If the youth will consecrate their minds and hearts to God's service, they will reach a high standard of efficiency and usefulness. This is the standard that the Lord expects the youth to attain. To do less than this is to refuse to make the most of God-given opportunities. This will be looked upon as treason against God, a failure to work for the good of humanity. {MYP 41.2}

Sabbath flower picking.

After we fed the long horns we went to another pasture and enjoyed picking crocuses. Here are some pictures. There were just dozens of them.

Sabbath on the farm here in Canada.

Here on sabbath after church we went over to see my uncle's long horn cattle. Here we are sstanding on one side of the fence while my uncle feeds with the tractor on the other. These longhorns are in the caving stage and can be very agressive towards poeple if they come to close so we are standing on the other side of the fence!

Here my uncle is dirving the tractor and feeding the cows here/long horns. If you look close you can see that my uncle is standing by the bale pulling on soemthing. He is pulling on the twine that wraps the bale so that the cows don't eat it and get sick.

Let us arouse!

Let us arouse! The battle is waging. Truth and error are nearing their final conflict. Let us march under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel, and fight the good fight of faith, and win eternal honors; for the truth will triumph, and we may be more than conquerors through Him who has loved us. The precious hours of probation are closing. Let us make sure work for eternal life, that we may glorify our heavenly Father, and be the means of saving souls for whom Christ died.--Review and Herald, March 13, 1888. {ChS 77.2}
The duke of Wellington was once present where a party of Christian men were discussing the possibility of success in missionary effort among the heathen. They appealed to the duke to say whether in his judgment such efforts were likely to prove a success commensurate to the cost. The old soldier replied: "Gentlemen, what are your marching orders? Success is not the question for you to discuss. If I read your orders aright, they run thus, 'Go ye into all
78
the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.' Gentlemen, obey your marching orders."--Gospel Workers, p. 115. {ChS 77.3}
Eternity stretches before us. The curtain is about to be lifted. What are we thinking of, that we cling to our selfish love of ease, while all around us souls are perishing? {ChS 80.1}
Have our hearts become utterly callous? {ChS 80.2}
Can we not see and understand that we have a work to do in behalf of others? {ChS 80.3}
My brethren and sisters, are you among those who, having eyes, see not, and having ears, hear not? {ChS 80.4}
Is it in vain that God has given you a knowledge of His will? {ChS 80.5}
Is it in vain that He has sent you warning after warning of the nearness of the end? {ChS 80.6}
Do you believe the declarations of His word concerning what is coming upon the world? {ChS 80.7}
Do you believe that God's judgments are hanging over the inhabitants of the earth? {ChS 80.8}
How, then, can you sit at ease, careless and indifferent? --Testimonies, vol. 9, pp. 26, 27. {ChS 80.9}
The truth of God must be enshrined in the heart, and we must be determined to fight the battles of the Lord, if we would come off conquerors with the final triumph of the truth; for the truth will triumph gloriously. . . . If you are seeking to be a blessing to others, God will bless you. We should bring all the good possible into our lives, that we may glorify God and be a blessing to humanity. {ML 266.2}
Nothing can be more helpless, nothing can be more dependent, than the soul that feels its nothingness, and relies wholly upon the merits of the blood of a crucified and risen Saviour. The Christian life is a life of warfare, of continual conflict. It is a battle and a march. But every act of obedience to Christ, every act of self-denial for his sake, every trial well endured, every victory gained over temptation, is a step in the march to the glory of final victory. If we take Christ for our guide, he will lead us safely along the narrow way. The road may be rough and thorny; the ascent may be steep and dangerous; there may be pitfalls upon the right hand and upon the left; we may have to endure toil in our journey; when weary, when longing for rest, we may have to toil on; when faint, we may have to fight; when discouraged, we may be called upon to hope; but with Christ as our Guide, we shall not lose the path to immortal life, we shall not fail to reach the desired haven at last. Christ himself has trod the rough pathway before us, and has smoothed the path for our feet. The narrow path of holiness, the way cast up for the ransomed of the Lord to walk in, is illuminated by Him who is the Light of the world. As we follow in his steps, his light will shine upon us; and as we reflect the light borrowed from the glory of Christ, the path will grow brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. {RH, February 5, 1895 par. 9}
We may think it pleasant at first to follow pride and worldly ambition; but the end is pain and sorrow. Selfish plans may present flattering promises, and hold out the hope of enjoyment; but we shall find that our happiness is poisoned and our life embittered by hopes that center in self. In following Christ we are safe; for he will not suffer the powers of darkness to hurt one hair of our heads. He will keep that which is committed to his trust, and we shall be more than conquerors through him that loved us.
